METHOD AND APPARATUS FOR ATTACHING FILM LABEL TO CAN BODY

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method and an apparatus for attaching a film label to a can body for speedily and stably attaching a film label to a can body with no wasteless attachment even when the body has a reduced thickness and for attaching satisfactorily with no damage to a resin coated on the inside face of the body even when the body is resin coated.

SOLUTION: A film label f is supplied from a suction transfer belt conveyor 20 to and between a can body mounted on a mandrel and a heat attaching roller 3 heated to a temperature able to attach the label contacting neither the can body nor the roller 3. The film label is pressed against the can body by the roller 3 and the label is heated to be hot enough to be attached to body.
