<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To properly manage a content a user likes in a case where a content is managed by a plurality of management schemes. <P>SOLUTION: A record medium 200 stores a plurality of contents. Further, each of these contents is a management target for at least one of a plurality of recording formats (management schemes A and B). A priority content setting part 160 sets a priority content based on a user selection or on a predetermined rule for the plurality of contents stored in the record medium 200. A record controlling part 150 changes the management target from management scheme B to A such that the priority content is managed by the management scheme A based on the control by a controlling part 120 if an operation input accepted by an operation acceptance part 110 is an operation input associated with a specific operation.
