<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an unbalance/balance converter which achieves design simplification and low conversion loss. <P>SOLUTION: An unbalance/balance converter comprises a balanced transmission line including a pair of transmission lines 14 and 15, an unbalanced transmission line 13, and two drawing transmission lines 19 and 20 which, being connected to two neighboring ends among four ends of the pair of transmission lines, are vertically directed from the pair of transmission lines. The first of the two drawing transmission lines comprises a first electrode plane 19a which, as a part of an outer peripheral surface of the same drawing transmission line, faces the second drawing transmission line, while the second drawing transmission line comprises a second electrode plane 20a which, as a part of an outer peripheral surface of the same drawing transmission line, faces the first drawing transmission line.
