The device is moved with the workpiece to be clamped in a working area for a machining process. An auxiliary medium smoothening a surface of the workpiece is applied before or during a clamping process. The auxiliary medium is provided in fluid or pasty state to harden a surface of the workpiece. #CMT#USE : #/CMT# Magnetic clamping device for clamping a flat, metallic workpiece i.e. combustion part (claimed) on a workpiece carrier for re-machining i.e. re-milling, the workpiece during manufacturing of a sheet metal. #CMT#ADVANTAGE : #/CMT# The auxiliary medium is used to balance large structures on the workpiece. The clamping device is utilized in a universal and flexible manner for offering clamping force that is necessary for the machining process.
