Also disclosed is a process for synthesising a compound of formula (I), an intermediate used in the process for making a compound of formula (I), a pharmaceutical composition comprising a compound of formula (I), a method for preparing a pharmaceutical composition, a method of modulating IAP function in vitro with a compound of formula (I) and the use of a compound of formula (I) for the manufacture of a medicament for treating a diseases state characterized by insufficient apoptosis or a proliferative disorder.
