<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for reducing power consumption of an electro-optical display device capable of displaying a still image with the use of analog signals. <P>SOLUTION: A circuit in which a source of a selection transistor is connected to a gate of an N-channel driving transistor, a gate of a P-channel driving transistor, and one electrode of a capacitor using a transistor in which a small amount of leakage current flows between a source and a drain under an off state as the selection transistor; and a source of each of the N-channel driving transistor and the P-channel driving transistor is connected to one electrode of a display element, is provided in each pixel. The gate and the drain of the selection transistor are connected to a scan line and a signal line respectively, the drain of the N-channel driving transistor is connected to a high potential line, and the drain of the P-channel driving transistor is connected to a low potential line. The longest time of one frame is set to 100 seconds or longer with the use of such a circuit, whereby power consumption at the time of rewriting is reduced. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
