LOGICAL DESCRIPTION DIFFERENCE EXTRACTING METHOD, LOGICAL DESIGN SUPPORT APPARATUS, AND LOGICAL DESCRIPTION DIFFERENCE EXTRACTING PROGRAM

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To facilitate a design of a hardware description language by appropriately extracting a difference from the check results of different style check tools.

SOLUTION: A logical design support apparatus 1 specifies a positional relationship between a description position of an uncorrected description place out of description place of logical description after a correction and a description position of description place of logical description before a correction. The logical design support device 1 then specifies a position that corresponds to the check result before the correction and the check result after the correction using the specified positional relationship, and replaces a message so that a message format of the check result before the correction located at the specified position matches a message format of the check result after the correction. The logical design support device 1 then extracts the difference between the check result before the correction and the check results after the correction in which each of the message formats are replaced.
