PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To differentiate an area subjected to the detection of output control information for each function to be used, in a multi-function MFP.

SOLUTION: A document data output device which is provided with detection means for detecting information controlling the output of document data from the document data and control means for controlling the output of the document data according to the detected information is equipped with setting means which sets the area subjected to detection by the detection means to the whole surface or the specific area of the document data.
