<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an ultrathin chip saw the overall thickness of which is made to be extremely thin and which can sharply cut a material to be cut at a high speed, and moreover, the service life of which is elongated and the power consumption of which is also made to be lower than before. <P>SOLUTION: The chip saw 1 is constituted so that sawteeth 3 are formed at regular intervals at the outer periphery of a disk-shaped base metal 2 and a chip 5 is fixed to a pedestal 4 formed in a front-side portion of each of sawteeth 3. The chip saw 1 satisfies H<L, H:L=1:1-3.5 and H:W=1:0.6-3.0 where H is a height from the tip of the chip 5 to the front end of the pedestal 4, L is a length from the tip of the chip 5 to the back end of the pedestal 4, and W is a width of the chip. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
