<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fiber or fibrous molded article which has a small fiber diameter and excellent chemical resistance and contains a hydrogenated ring-opening polymer of a norbornene monomer. <P>SOLUTION: The fiber or fibrous molded article contains a hydrogenated ring-opening polymer of a norbornene monomer, which is obtained by ring-opening polymerization of a polymerizable monomer containing 90-100 wt.% of 2-norbornene and 10-0 wt.% of a substituent-containing norbornenes followed by hydrogenation of the resulting polymer, and which has a melting point of 110-130°C and a weight-average molecular weight (Mw) of 20,000-60,000 as measured by gel permeation chromatography (GPC). <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
