<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming apparatus, along with a program, capable of reliably switching a path to an inverting unit, having an imaging completion point of a non-final band before the tip of a recording paper passes a branching point of the path. <P>SOLUTION: The image forming apparatus includes: an image transfer unit; an image data memory unit; the inverting unit; and a paper delivery unit. The apparatus uses a binding system, and has a postscript device. The postscript device is configured such that, when the reception of all data of the (n+1)th band following the n-th band being output is not completed, while excluding the final band output, the delivery destination of the recording paper is changed to the inverting unit, and then the re-feeding of paper from the inverting unit and the re-delivery of paper to the inverting unit is repeated, thereby adding an image after the (n+1)th band on the surface of the recording paper where an image of the n-th band is recorded. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
