PURPOSE: Debris barrier and simple dam constructed with a cast-iron panel and a method of constructing the same are provided to enhance corrosion resistance, durability, assembling performance and constructability, and prevent the floor of river or the soil and sand of bank from settling. CONSTITUTION: Debris barrier constructed with a cast-iron panel is as follows. One or more cast-iron panel gabions are stacked, in which aggregate is stored. Neighboring cast-iron panel gabions are overlapped. Aggregates with relatively less granularity than those stacked on the lower part of a tailrace are filled a cast-iron panel gabion installed on a part corresponding to the floor of river or bank. The cast-iron panel gabion assembles cast-iron panels with a plurality of meshes to form a space. Aggregates are filled in the space. A fish passing hole(2), through which fish can pass, is formed on a part adjacent to the floor of river of debris barrier. |
