<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for producing hydrogen peroxide and a production apparatus therefor which firstly can easily and efficiently produce hydrogen peroxide for an excellent production cost, and which secondly is excellent in safety faces to the human body and environment as well. <P>SOLUTION: The production method includes the following conversion step, intermediate reaction step and production reaction step. At first, in the conversion step, oxygen (<SP POS="POST">3</SP>O<SB POS="POST">2</SB>) in a triplet state is converted into oxygen (<SP POS="POST">1</SP>O<SB POS="POST">2</SB>) in a singlet state under excited conditions in water using a photosensitizer P under irradiation with light. Next, in the intermediate reaction step, hydroperoxide (HO<SB POS="POST">2</SB>) is produced from the oxygen in a singlet state. Then, in the production reaction step, hydrogen peroxide (H<SB POS="POST">2</SB>O<SB POS="POST">2</SB>) is produced from the hydroperoxide. As the production apparatus performing the respective steps, e.g., a microreactor is used in which a micro flow passage is fed with ordinary oxygen in a triplet state together with water, and further, a flow passage forming face is stuck and coated with the photosensitizer P. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
