PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a mobile communication system and a communication method capable of selecting a code word to which uplink control information is mapped by a mobile station apparatus more flexibly without restricting the scheduling by a base station apparatus.

SOLUTION: In a mobile communication system where a mobile station apparatus communicates with a base station apparatus using a plurality of antennas, the mobile station apparatus selects a code word to which the precoding is performed among a plurality of code words, and maps uplink control information to the selected code word to transmit it to the base station apparatus.
