<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve luminance of a light emitting substrate and an image display device. <P>SOLUTION: In the light emitting substrate, a photonic crystal structure, a transparent anode electrode and a light emitter layer having a diffuse reflectance equal to 0.04% or less are laminated on a transparent substrate in this order, and a side-surface reflecting member is provided on a side surface of the light emitter layer. The light emitting substrate satisfies following relations: 95≥c and 40≥a<100, or 85≥c<95 and 80≥a<100, where a represents a relative area of the photonic crystal structure to the light emitter layer in percent, and c represents a reflectance of the side-surface reflecting member in percent. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
