<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a contrast enhancement filter that makes air hardly remain at an exposure part of a dark color strip which is a light-shielding part, when laminated to another adherend. <P>SOLUTION: A contrast enhancement filter 10 comprises a contrast enhancement layer 1 having a number of dark color strips 1a that are arranged in parallel to each other in an extending direction and a transparent resin layer 1b that supports the dark color strips from at least a side face. A part of the dark color strip is exposed at at least one surface As of the transparent resin layer to form an exposure part E, which projects from the one surface As and has a protruding shape. Preferably, the protruding shape is defined by curves having no recessed or spinous part. Thus, air hardly remains around the exposed part when the filter is laminated to an adherend 3 with an adhesive layer. The adherend may comprise various functional layers such as an electromagnetic wave shielding layer.
