<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To stabilize recording quality. <P>SOLUTION: During an information recording operation on an optical recording medium, the recording operation is suspended at a predetermined time, and already-recorded part is regenerated to obtain an evaluation value of recording quality. Then, the recording operation is resumed upon changing a recording linear velocity based on determination of the recording quality using the evaluation value. For example, if a deterioration in quality is unacceptable, the recording linear velocity is decreased, or if there is no deterioration in quality, the recording linear velocity is increased. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
