<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reinforce the rigidity of an air filter of an air filter device to restrain drop and unevenness in dust-removing performance, the air filter device capturing dust, which adheres to the air filter, by means of the rotation of a rotary brush. <P>SOLUTION: On a base member 30 having an air-sucking aperture part, a first air filter 40; and a cleaning part, or a self-propelled cleaning part 60 which includes a rotary brush which moves on the surface part, on the windward side, of a first air filter 40 while scraping dust away which adheres to the first air filter 40; are mounted. In addition, in order to restrain the deformation of the first air filter 40 due to pressing force by the rotary brush, the peripheral frame parts 41 of the first air filter 40 and its frame parts 42 which partition the filter surface into a plurality of parts are supported by another member.
