<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide compositions and methods for modulating vascular formation and maintenance mediated by neuropilin-1 (NRP1) receptor. <P>SOLUTION: Novel anti-NRP1 antibodies and variants thereof having unique structural and functional characteristics are disclosed.
