<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent elongation of processing time of VDP data which is caused by selection of a format unsuitable for layout of the VDP data. <P>SOLUTION: A print data generating device for generating variable print data with a plurality of types of formats classifies the layouts of the objects constituting the print data (S107-S109, and S112-S114); selects, from among the plurality of types of formats, a predetermined format corresponding to the classification result of the layout in S107-S109 and S112-S114 (S111, S116, and S117); and generates the print data based on the format selected in S111, S116, and S117 (S118). <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
