<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a vibration impact damping device interposed between free-standing two structures at such an interval that they may in contact with each other due to mutual vibrations and efficiently absorbing vibration impact force transferred from one structure to the other structure during vibrations such as an earthquake. <P>SOLUTION: The vibration impact damping device 1 interposed between free-standing two structures at such an interval that they may in contact with each other due to mutual vibrations includes: a cylindrical rubber material 11 having three or more substantially hemispherical protrusions 13; and a metal-made rubber material receiving board 2 comprising a rectangular bottom plate 3 and a cylindrical part 4 for holding the cylindrical rubber material 11 by projecting the substantially hemispherical protrusions 13 and part of a body part 12 thereof by the cylindrical part 4. The impact force acting during the vibrations of the two structures is absorbed by receiving it by the bending of the substantially hemispherical protrusions 13 of the cylindrical rubber material 11, the bending of the body part 12, and the rigidity of the cylindrical part 4 of the rubber material receiving board 2 in this order. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
