<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image processing apparatus capable of correcting a tilt included in an imaged image. <P>SOLUTION: An image processing apparatus extracts tilt information included in images as an angle histogram to calculate relative tilt angles between two or more images. While a matching is performed by similarity between the angle histograms and a movement is corrected, the angle histograms are added cumulatively, and noise components are suppressed and tilt angle information is sharpened.
