<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To allow automatic classification of finite element models into a design range and a non-design range. <P>SOLUTION: In a design support device, a shape element extraction unit 16 extracts from an FEM model shape elements in which the number of nodes connected to rigid body elements is equal to or more than the number of setting nodes inputted to a setting node number input unit 15. In order to set the extracted shape elements to a non-design range, a PID change unit 18 changes PID (identification data) numbers included in data of the shape elements. The shape elements that have not been extracted are then set to a design range without any change of the PID numbers. Accordingly, the design support device can classify the FEM model into the design range and the non-design range based on the PID numbers of the FEM model. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
