<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an anti-theft device having an anti-crime tag for preventing theft of merchandise. <P>SOLUTION: A rotor 5 and a ratchet wheel 30 are rotatably incorporated in a drive chamber 4 of a casing 3 with the anti-crime tag, binding wires 6a and 6b are wound or fed by the rotation of the rotor, and the ratchet mechanism is configured to select an operation state and a release state. A slider 33 is extractably/retractably inserted in a cylinder 32 connected to the casing 3, when the slider 33 is advanced to an operation position, the ratchet mechanism is set in an operation state and, when being retreated to an idle position, the ratchet mechanism is set in a release state. Locking means is provided between the slider 33 and the cylinder 32 to lock the slider 33 at the operation position.
