<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method of manufacturing a shape memory alloy in which the variation of a reverse transformation end point (A<SB POS="POST">f</SB>point) is reduced. <P>SOLUTION: The method of manufacturing the shape memory alloy has a shape memory step S1 of immersing an alloy material into a molten alkali metal having a shape memory temperature capable of forming a high temperature phase stable at a temperature higher than a temperature at which a martensitic phase is stable.
