摘要 <p>The disclosed vehicle-wheel bearing device lessens abrupt slipping between an inner member and a shoulder part of an outer joint member, preventing stick-slip sounds. A cap (17) mounted to a compression part (6) which has a flat end surface comprises a metal core (20), which is shaped like an open ring with a roughly L-shaped cross-section, and a molded part (21) comprising a synthetic resin. The metal core (20) is pressed from a corrosion-resistant steel plate and comprises a disk-shaped section (20a), a cylindrical section (20b) that extends in the axial direction from the outside of the disk-shaped section (20a), and a catching section (20c) that protrudes radially inwards from the cylindrical section (20b) and has an inner diameter slightly narrower than the outer diameter of the abovementioned compression part (6). The molded part (21) is bonded integrally to the aforementioned disk-shaped section (20a) by means of injection molding. A very large number of tiny bumps and indentations are formed on the surfaces of the metal core (20) and the molded part (21). The metal core (20) and molded part (21) abut against the end surface of the compression part (6) and a shoulder part (15) of an outer joint member (14), respectively.</p>
