<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To mount a drive pulse output circuit to an inkjet head with an appropriate signal transmission form, so that waveform distortion of an actuator drive pulse for jet of ink drops is inhibited or prevented. <P>SOLUTION: Modulated signal data DATA stored in a memory 29 is read out to output a modulated signal, which is power-amplified by a digital power amplifier 25. The power-amplified modulated signal is smoothed to be output to an actuator 22 as a drive pulse. As a result, the modulated signal can be efficiently power-amplified by the digital power amplifier 25 having a high power amplification efficiency, thereby eliminating a cooling means such as a cooling radiation plate for a transistor. The drive pulse output circuit 28 can be mounted to the inkjet heads 2 and 3, thereby shortening the transmission path of the actuator drive pulse, which inhibits or prevents any waveform distortion of the drive pulse.
