<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electronic key system which reduces the number of communication masters equipped on a vehicle and ensures security against vehicle theft. <P>SOLUTION: When out-of-vehicle collation between a reader/writer 10 disposed to a vehicle door and an electronic key 2 is successful, in-vehicle collation is permitted for a prescribed time to thereby allow engine starting operation. A Bluetooth communication system is provided between a vehicle 1 and the electronic key 2 as a communication system other than a short-range radio communication system used in ID collation. When a cancellation button 25 on the electronic key 2 is operated, the electronic key 2 transmits an in-vehicle collation forcible cancellation request Sa to the vehicle 1 using the Bluetooth. When the vehicle 1 receives the in-vehicle collation forcible cancellation request Sa, the in-vehicle collation which is successful during the prescribed time is forcibly cancelled. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
