<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image generation device which is more convenient for users and controls the duplication of electronic book data with copy control stored in an electronic book terminal, with the interests of the copyright owners secured. <P>SOLUTION: A copy control removal unit 211c removes a copy control on electronic book data with copy control stored in an electronic book terminal when the electronic book data is deleted from the electronic book terminal or a copyright fee for the electronic book data is paid.
