<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method of manufacturing a spark plug capable of suppressing occurrence of spatters, blowholes and cracks in laser welding of an electrode tip and an electrode base material. <P>SOLUTION: A method of manufacturing a spark plug 100 includes a laser welding step in which an electrode tip 133 is arranged on an electrode base material 131 and unit welding portions 135n1 to 135n10 corresponding to each of laser pulses N1 to N10 are sequentially formed by irradiating a pulsed laser beam LS on the electrode tip and the electrode base material.
