<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a bellows pump whose size is reduced, and in which sealing accuracy can be maintained over a long period of time and opening and closing operation can be performed with superior responsiveness in response to extension and contraction of a bellows. <P>SOLUTION: The bellows pump 10 includes a pump head 11 having an intake passage 33 and a discharge passage 34 for fluid formed therein, the bellows 13 mounted on the pump head 11 and whose interior area freely extends and contracts in the horizontal direction and communicates with the intake passage 33 and the discharge passage 34, a driving device for operating the bellows 13 to extend and contract, and check valves 38, 40 allowing the fluid to flow in one direction with respect to the intake passage 33 and the discharge passage 34 and inhibiting the fluid to flow in the other direction. The check valves 38, 40 each includes a valve case 44 having a flow passage for making the fluid flow between a one end and the other end in the horizontal direction thereof, and a valve element 45 housed in the valve case 44 and movable in the valve closing direction by its own weight. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
