<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To maintain retention characteristics and reduce the time required for writing. <P>SOLUTION: A command sequencer section 23 is started by receiving an RF signal from a reader/writer 10 in an RF part 22. After starting, the command sequencer section 23 erases the whole page of a buffer unit in which data are to be written of a memory part 24 during the start processing carried out before receiving a command from the reader/writer 10. As a result, after receiving a write command from the reader/writer 10, the command sequencer section 23 is only required to be written to make a memory cell to a write state without erasing the memory cell to an erase state in writing data in the memory part 24.
