COLOR CORRECTION DEVICE, COLOR CORRECTION METHOD, AND VIDEO CAMERA SYSTEM

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a color correction device and a color correction method capable of computing a suitable color correction parameter even when a gamut error or an observation error exists, and applying that parameter to a picked-up image by a video camera to correct colors.

SOLUTION: The color correction device comprises: a reference storage portion storing a color reference signal; a buffer inputting a re-photograph monitor photographing signal obtained by photographing a re-photograph monitor which displays a color reference image corresponding to the color reference signal; a comparing/computing portion comparing the re-photograph monitor photographing signal stored in the buffer with the color reference signal stored in the reference storage portion, and calculating a correction parameter so as to reduce a difference between the re-photograph monitor photographing signal and the color reference signal; a correction parameter storage portion storing the calculated correction parameter; and a correction processing portion carrying out correction processing to an inputted image data on the basis of the correction parameter stored in the correction parameter storage portion.
