<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming apparatus the inside of which does not become dirty with liquid dripping caused from a roller end. <P>SOLUTION: The image forming apparatus includes an application roller 232 for applying a treatment liquid 201 to a recording medium and a squeeze roller 233 for thinning a liquid film on the application roller 232. The squeeze roller 233 is controlled to rotate in the same direction as in a coating operation until the treatment liquid 201 retained between the squeeze roller 233 and the application roller 232 becomes a prescribed amount or less after the treatment liquid 201 is applied to the recording medium, and a treatment liquid tray 234 keeps recovering the treatment liquid running down along the rollers from ends of the application roller 232 and the squeeze roller 233. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
