摘要 <P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable an imaging element in which pixels for focus detection are discretely arranged among a plurality of pixels for imaging to accomplish focus detection using the pixels for focus detection more accurately. <P>SOLUTION: An imaging device comprises: an imaging element that is disposed on a prospective image formation face of a photographic lens and has a plurality of pixels for focus detection that receive light having passed through part of a pupil area of the photographic lens and a plurality of pixels for imaging that receive light having passed through the whole pupil area of the photographic lens; a saturated area detecting unit that detects an area saturated with pixels for imaging or pixels for focus detection; a correcting unit that corrects image signals of pixels for focus detection on the basis of the result of comparison of image signals on nearby lines of pixels for imaging or pixels for focus detection in the saturated area; and a focus detecting unit that detects the focal state of the photographic lens on the basis of the image signals of the pixels for focus detection corrected by the correcting unit. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT
