PREDICTION AND RECOGNITION OF ACUTE KIDNEY INJURY AFTER SURGERY
摘要
The present invention relates to a method for predicting the risk of an adverse event related to acute kidney injury AKI as a consequence of a surgical intervention in a subject, comprising the steps of: a) determining the amounts of liver-type fatty acid binding protein (L-FABP), in a urine-sample of a subject; b) comparing the amounts determined in step a) with reference amounts; and c) predicting the risk based on the comparison carried out in step b). Moreover, the present invention relates to a device and a kit for carrying out said method.
