Disclosed are cross-linked polymer particles (10) that can be obtained through a process (a) of obtaining base particles (1) formed from cross-linked polymer that are produced by preparing polymerizable monomers that comprise a first kind of monomer that has double bonds and functional groups that can react with amino groups and wherein, of the atoms forming the double bonds, the atom closer to the functional group is connected to the functional group with four or more atoms therebetween, and radical-polymerizing said polymerizable monomers, and a process (b) wherein after process (a), the base particles (1) are brought into contact with an amino compound with amino groups to cross-link the cross-linked polymer further by reacting the functional groups with the amino groups.
