<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a mask which enables an easy registering of the position with the edge surface of the honeycomb structure, and is useful for certainly sealing the aperture of a specified cell, as well as a method for sealing the aperture using the same. <P>SOLUTION: This mask is used for sealing the aperture of the cell of the honeycomb structure, and has a plurality of first through-holes, each penetrating the mask from one surface to the other.
