<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a resistance heating apparatus that can generate a concentrated hot blast of high temperature and high pressure, does not need to be fixed, is easy to be reduced in size, manufactured and handled, is applicable to soldering, metal processing, etc., and has higher heat exchange efficiency than before. <P>SOLUTION: The resistance heating apparatus comprises a cylindrical heat exchanging container which is made of a material generating heat through resistance heating, and divided by an inner wall into a plurality of layers, two electrodes for resistance heating, and a power supply unit. The heat exchanging container is provided with a supply port for fluid at one end and with an exhaust port for the fluid at one end on the opposite side, each of the layers comprises a layer member which includes a columnar member in the center and has an annular cavity, the inner wall is provided with a plurality of holes to serve as an intake and an outlet for the fluid, and the intakes and outlets of the respective layers are arranged at positions so as to shift in a peripheral direction.
