摘要 <P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To shorten the operation time of a diesel generator by discharging surplus power charged in a storage battery and supplying power to a load when generated power of a turbocharger power generator is reduced. <P>SOLUTION: The power supply system includes: a turbocharger power generator having a generator 4 driven by a turbocharger 2 comprising a compressor 2_<SB POS="POST">2</SB>driven by a gas turbine 2_<SB POS="POST">1</SB>and feeding compressed air to an internal combustion engine 1; a frequency converter FC for converting an AC voltage outputted by the generator 4 to an AC voltage of a different frequency and outputting it; and a power supply system 19 connecting a second power generator 20 driven by a motor different from the internal combustion engine 1 and a load 10. The operation time of the second power generator is shortened by stopping the generator when the residual capacity of the storage battery is a prescribed value close to its full charge, starting the generator when the residual capacity of the storage battery is a prescribed value close to zero, charging surplus power to the storage battery when effective power that can be generated by the turbocharger power generator exceeds the power consumption of the load, and discharging surplus power charged in the storage battery and supplying power to a ship internal load when the generated power of the turbocharger power generator is reduced. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT
