<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an auxiliary chain block used by rotating by holding a hand wheel with one hand by being suspended by an overhead travelling crane, a crane and a suspending hook of a chain block, capable of slowly lowering a heavy load such as a metal mold little by little, and unprovided with a hand chain. <P>SOLUTION: This manual auxiliary chain block includes a frame body 2 having side plate parts 2L and 2R opposed in the lateral direction, an upper hook 6 hooked on a lower hook of the overhead travelling crane or the like, a driving shaft 3 rotatably supported by a shaft in the frame body 2, a load sheave, a load chain 25 for installing the lower hook 26, a deceleration mechanism, and a one-way clutch mechanism.
