<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a disposable reel for winding a metal wire body having a metallic flange whose outer circumference is curled to form an edge-enhanced part of the flange, wherein the plate thickness is thickened to improve durability in several times repeated uses without decreasing the amount of winding, increasing the width dimension of the reel nor generating a processing trouble. <P>SOLUTION: The plate thickness of the flange sidewall part 3 of the flanges 2A and 2B is 6 to 12 mm. The plate thickness of a flange edge-enhanced part 4 is equal to or less than 2/3 of the plate thickness of the flange sidewall part 3, and the edge part in the curl direction becomes thinner toward the leading tip.
