The present invention relates to a device for controlling a solar light output and a method therefor, and particularly, the invention comprises: a solar panel voltage detection unit which determines how much voltage and current are produced, if light energy is converted into electric energy through a solar panel in the daytime and the converted energy is inputted, and delivers the result of the determination to a charging circuit unit; the charging circuit unit which charges a storage battery under control of a control unit, if an output voltage of the solar panel, which is inputted through the solar panel voltage detection unit, is at least the lowest voltage necessary for charging the storage battery; a discharging circuit unit which discharges a voltage charged in the storage battery to electrical loads, under control of the control unit; a signal input and setting unit which enables a user to select and input various pieces of information; a constant voltage rectification unit which rectifies the voltage outputted from the solar panel voltage detection unit and the voltage outputted from the storage battery into constant voltages, voltages which are necessary for driving components that constitute each unit; a temperature detection sensor which detects a load, the storage battery, and the peripheral temperature to deliver the detected information to the control unit; the control unit which includes a microcomputer, receives state information of the solar panel voltage detection unit, the charging circuit unit, the discharging circuit unit, and the temperature detection sensor and receives input information set by the signal input and setting unit, and performs overall control functions in accordance with a solar light by performing a control program inputted within the control unit in advance; and an operation state display unit which displays various pieces of state information as light-emitting diode light on/off states and light color changes, according to an output signal of the control unit. |
