METHOD AND SYSTEM FOR SELECTING CANDIDATE NEIGHBORING CELLS

Disclosed are a method and a system for selecting candidate neighboring cells. The method includes: determining a candidate cell set for a primary cell; acquiring from the candidate cell set a base station which is closest to the primary cell, and adding all cells under the base station to a neighboring cell set; deleting from the candidate cell set both the cells shadowed by the base station and the cells contained in the neighboring cell set; determining if the candidate cell set is empty; if not empty, returning back to the step of acquiring the base station which is closest to the primary cell; if empty, using the cells of the neighboring cell set as a first layer of the neighboring cell for the primary cell. With the present invention, the efficiency and the accuracy of the neighboring cell planning are improved, the resources of the neighboring cells are saved, and the adaptation of the candidate cells is improved.
