<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce user's troublesome operation for a setting work relating to document-connecting processing by enabling connection of document images by use of a process definition. <P>SOLUTION: A processing server processes images read by an image reading device, according to a process definition written by combining one or more process of processing.
