<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an anemometer which prevents adhesion of rainwater or snow to a body thereof and eliminates the cause of a rotational failure or the like of a propeller, without changes in current installation conditions, such as introduction of new power for snow melting. <P>SOLUTION: An anemometer 1 according to the present invention includes a body 3 which rotates about a vertically standing fixed stand 2 by catching the wind on a vertical tail; and a propeller 4 rotating at a speed corresponding to a wind velocity, at a front end of the body. An ice-free space H for exposing a rotating shaft 5 is provided between the propeller 4 and the body 3. Even if the rotating shaft is frozen, rotation of the propeller is not affected because a diameter of the shaft 5 is extremely small in comparison with a contact area between a propeller base section and the body, whereby a wind direction and a wind velocity can be reliably measured. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
