<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a large size touch panel device capable of precisely detecting touch position. <P>SOLUTION: A control section 7 controls to change the number of pulses, which are applied to a transmitting electrode 2 from a transmission section 5 during a period when a receiving section 6 receives an output signal from one receiving electrode 3, so that the variation of level signals output from the receiving section 6 is within an allowable range. Particularly, transmitting electrodes are divided into groups of a predetermined number depending on the position, and the number of pulses par one receiving electrode is set for each group. Further, the transmission section is configured so that the frequency of the pulse signal can be changed, and the control section controls to change the frequency of the pulse signal so that all pulses are applied within a specific integration period without changing the number of pulses par one receiving electrode. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
