<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a machine tool which can securely prevent a core of a rod-like work which penetrates the inside of a main shaft through hole from swaying. <P>SOLUTION: The machine tool 1 supplies the rod-like work W through the main shaft through hole 30 provided on a main shaft 3 and processes the end tip of the rod-like work W projected from the main shaft 3 while rotating the rod-like work W by the main shaft 3. At that time, the rod-like work W tends to sag into the main shaft through hole 30 due to its own weight or a centrifugal force by the rotation but the rod-like work W does not sag since it is held in a grasping manner by a first grasping device 7 and a second grasping device 8 separated in the axial direction. Also the first grasping device 7 and the second grasping device 8 are switched between the state of grasping the rod-like work W and the state of releasing the rod-like work W, and thus the rod-like work W can be transmitted freely in the axial direction Z inside the main shaft through hole 30 and can be grasped securely. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
