<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an information processing unit capable of operating consecutively for 24 hours. <P>SOLUTION: When an OS is executed by a main CPU, a reset signal is output to a first WDT circuit 16A at intervals of first predetermined time during operation of the OS. When an application is executed, a reset signal is output to a second WDT circuit 16B at intervals of second predetermined time during operation of the application. In the first WDT circuit 16A or second WDT circuit 16B, if a time-out occurs without an input of the reset signal before a timer-set time, a sub-CPU 17 executes normal interruption processing on the main CPU. If the OS is not normally ended even with the interruption processing, the main CPU is reset. Further, if the main CPU does not respond to the reset signal of a reset circuit 20 and the main CPU cannot be reset, a power source for supplying electric power to the main CPU is turned off once, and the supply is started again (the main CPU is rebooted). <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
