The arrangement has a speed measuring device for detecting speed of a vehicle (10), and a radar module (30) arranged at an edge of a road (14). The radar module transmits clubbed radar beam, and a radiation lobe (32) includes an oval cross-section, where a longitudinal axis of the radiation lobe is inclined around an inclination angle opposite to a driving direction of the vehicle. The radiation lobe covers an area above wheels to a highest point of the vehicle, where height of the vehicle is determined from the speed and frequency measured by the radar module. An independent claim is also included for an arrangement for classifying a vehicle.
